Hibiscus

Choosing the right place in the house

Most often, the Chinese hibiscus variety, which was bred several decades ago by breeding, is chosen as the home plant. The plant has bright red buds, so, accordingly, it needs a large amount of solar ultraviolet light to flow freely. However, this applies to scattered light, while the direct rays of the sun can lead to the rapid death of hibiscus.
If we are talking about growing these representatives of the flora in a home garden, then for such purposes Syrian hibiscus, which is also called garden tree-like, is best suited. For such a plant, the optimum growing conditions would be soil rich in humus - loose and fertile. With proper care, the Syrian hibiscus can survive for several decades.

Watering, humidity and air temperature

During the flowering period, any hibiscus variety needs abundant soil moisture. Stagnation of water is best avoided, so that in pots and flowerpots should provide for the presence of a drainage layer of expanded clay. Since the plant falls into a dormant state in winter, the amount of moisture introduced is minimized - it is enough to water the hibiscus no more than once every couple of days.
To take out a pot with hibiscus in the summer on a windowsill or terrace is allowed, provided that the flowerpot does not succumb to the harmful effects of coolness. For the winter, it is better to bring the plant into the house, since it is very demanding with respect to temperature. If the thermometer drops to 10-12 degrees, the hibiscus can quickly crumble and die.
In order for a flower to open buds, it is best to maintain the temperature at a relatively acceptable level (20-25 degrees) during its wintering, and the same rule applies to air humidity. Hibiscus is very fond of a humid atmosphere, so with the onset of the heating period, take the pot away from batteries and radiators.
Hibiscus is a flower that can please us with the presence of bright buds of different colors far from one season. However, this can only be achieved by observing the care rules described above. In general, there is nothing impossible, and in optimal conditions for a flower, a person will also feel comfortable.
