Growing a spindle tree at home

Euonymus is an evergreen ornamental plant native to Australia, Asia and Europe. With the onset of autumn, these flowers are decorated with original shades, which makes them especially popular among fans of growing indoor plants. It is not just that in Latin its name is translated as “alluring with beauty” - eurasculets became a frequent visitor to personal plots, primarily due to their original appearance.

Flower features

At home, the spindle tree can grow to a height of one and a half meters, and its leaves with the advent of autumn cool acquire more and more original colors. In winter, this exotic flower bears fruit, so most of the euonymus cultivars are best grown in greenhouses, providing them with comfortable wintering conditions.
In summer, the plant will feel comfortable outdoors, however, you should carefully monitor that your family members or pets do not try to eat leaves or fruits for food. Each part of the flower is very dangerous for our body, but the unique coloring of the leaves still makes them welcome guests in the household.

The use of euonymus

Since the plant can grow to very impressive sizes, hedges are often created with the help of euonymos. They braid the fence, forming impenetrable thickets, which, among other things, look very nice. As the soil, it is best to use land with a plentiful addition of humus - so the spindle tree will be able to freely grow and absorb the necessary amount of mineral substances.
Some gardeners believe that the presence of this flower in households protects residents from all sorts of troubles, provides wealth and prosperity. On the practical side, the described representative of the flora emits such an impressive amount of oxygen that from its mere presence in the house (without other colors), the atmosphere in the rooms will become as fresh and comfortable as possible.
On the basis of euonymus fruits, in compliance with certain rules, medicinal infusions with anti-allergenic and antibacterial properties are prepared. Plant-based drugs are very often used to treat cardiovascular diseases, migraines and pressure problems. True, infusions from euonymus should be used for medicinal purposes in minimal doses, after consulting with a specialist doctor.
In general, euonymus is not a very fastidious plant to care for, which is increasingly appearing in households of domestic flower growers. They can become both an excellent design solution for the external interior of the site, and serve as a remedy for numerous diseases.
