In Japan and China, azalea is considered a symbol of happiness and prosperity, so that every representative of Asian culture tries to grow a flower at home, the blessing for it will only need to maintain a reasonable temperature indoors and keep the plant away from artificial heat sources (batteries and radiators).
Not to mention the real symbol of Christmas - a beautiful flower of poinsettia, which has red riding petals, in their form resembling a Christmas star. The period of flowering of poinsettia begins from Christmas itself and lasts for several months, so that it can be a wonderful holiday gift for all gardening lovers.
Begonia fans also have something to choose from - elegant begonias that are sold in stores exclusively in the winter will delight you with beauty and fragrance right up to the spring. Plants bloom at the beginning of winter, at the same time, you should carefully monitor the temperature, where you plan to put a pot with a flower - the air must be heated to 15 and above degrees Celsius, otherwise the begonias will quickly die.
Zigokaktusy truncated (or, as they are also called, moisture-loving cacti) have a unique appearance, which they give the bright crimson or pink flowering elements. In the summer, such a plant is at rest, but by next winter it is again dissolved and gives homeowners a joyful mood on the eve of the holidays of Christmas and New Year.
In general, professionals in the field of gardening argue that every year more and more new plant species appear on the market, which, unlike their counterparts, bloom exclusively in the cold season. Of course, some of them need specific care, but with the right approach, such plants will greatly decorate the home environment and allow you to enjoy flowering and pleasant aroma while a blizzard rages outside the window.
