Features of the national Japanese plant

Japanese sakura is known throughout the world as a national flower symbolizing Asian culture dating back several millennia. Sakura blossom is a national holiday in Japan, when the heads of companies, corporations and all organizations relieve their employees of duties so that they can devote time to going to a local park with their families.

Features of Japanese Sakura

The beginning of flowering of trees is considered the start of spring, when after a long winter stagnation, all living things acquire fresh spring shades. The color of sakura flowers varies from pure white to bright pink, they act as a symbol of the true female beauty of Japanese girls.
On the rare days of flowering, hundreds of Japanese people go to sakura locations, spread litter on the ground and inhale the delicate aroma of these enchanting trees. This period rarely lasts more than five days, so every self-respecting Japanese wants to take a break from busy workdays with friends or relatives. It is known that in an economically developed country, based on the titanic efforts of every citizen, able-bodied Japanese people do not rest so often. But this holiday is equivalent to mandatory state holidays, which no employer has the right to deprive of their wards.
As you know, the "Japanese cherry", as residents of other countries, including Russia, are also often called sakura, can grow up to seven meters in height. Plants do not bear fruit, but this is more than compensated by abundant flowering, which from afar can be mistaken for a real pink cloud of petals.

The history of the development of the tradition of admiring sakura blossoms

This tradition first appeared during the reign of the first Emperor of the Tang family, and it was believed that such an occupation prolongs a person’s life up to hundreds of years. After that, during the reign of the Saga dynasty, “khans” (the so-called tradition in Japan itself) became a generally accepted holiday, which was accompanied by performances by artists, fireworks and ubiquitous picnics. During this period, their best works were created by famous poets, and the artists tried in all their beauty to convey all the enthusiasm that they experienced during the contemplation of this marvelous plant.
During the Tokugawa Dynasty, rulers tried to spread sakura throughout ancient Japan, which allowed modern society to enjoy the flowering of trees throughout the country. Every year, the island state is visited by millions of tourists who seek to join the ancient culture and feel like a real Japanese.
Gardeners from different countries have been trying for a long time to transfer sakura seeds to other conditions, but for some reason, these whimsical plants feel as comfortable as possible exclusively at home.
